This unusual example displays a strange mixture of neo classicism and the traditional Chinese silver design. The cover is decorated with a high relief Chinese battle scene depicting horsemen and foot soldiers set within a raised foliate border - all in contrast to the reeded sides with central bands of engraved engine- turning.
