Beautifully designed shallow dish and worked in maple wood, stamped with makers mark, Davie Pye. The maker was an architect, industrial designer, professor of furniture at the Royal College of Art (RCA). He saw the aesthetic importance of nature in workmanship and design in the mid 20thcentury.
