35. Side Table - Jumu Wood
China. Shangxi Province. Late Ming (1368-1644)
22" x 42" x 33" - 56cm x 107cm x 84cm

A wonderfully worn side table, the top made from
one very large plank of elm wood. Supported on
four shaped legs, the side and end stretchers of
rounded square form with nicely worn reeded
decoration.

Note: The condition of this table epitomises the
phase "Puzhuo Form" ie. respecting the essence of
the material and its patina.
