28. Large Scroll PotChina. Kangxi period (1662-1722)

A very large and unusual stalagmite scroll pot, of
naturalistic form, simulating overlapping rock
formations and pierced body. The whole,
reminiscent of large open shell. With fine creamy
white and russet patina.
Note: Formerly in the collection Wu Hufan, the
eminent Shanghai painter (1894-1968).
