An exceptionally finely decorated pair of plaster
nodding figures. The mandarin of 'first
rank'(crane),
with blue glass topknot, elaborate collar, holding
yellow and green jade beads. His wife, wearing her
hair clasped behind her head displaying double ring
jade earrings, dressed in a beautiful red ground
court robe her hands tucked under her sleeves,
exposing one thumb. With gilt floral pleated skirt,
displaying one tiny bound foot. Excellent
condition.
