70. An Ikebana Vessel
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1911)
9" - 23cm

A bronze flower vessel, well cast in the
form of a folded lotus. With two small
crabs clambering over lotus buds and
flowers. The small mouth formed in the
fold of the lotus leaf itself. In an
overall deep rich red patina. Supported
on a wooden wave base.
